The hotel offered a comfortable lounge area.
I was appalled by the unsatisfactory condition of my room. It felt like stepping back into the 1960s, with the heat cranked up to unbearable levels that I couldn't adjust. To. For the money I paid, I expected far better accommodations than what was clearly outdated and poorly maintained. It's outrageous that such rooms are allowed to be rented out.

The staff surprised us with a free upgrade to a suite, which had stunning views of the river. The ambience was inviting and felt like a home away from home.

comfortable stay , but lacking evening entertainment
The bar staff were exceptionally friendly, making our evening enjoyable. Our double room was clean and well-appointed, providing a cozy atmosphere. The food exceeded my expectations, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful river walks nearby, which offered a lovely way to unwind after a busy day.
It was disappointing that on a busy Saturday night there wasn’t any live music or background music to enhance the atmosphere.

Awesome food and comfy stay!
Had a blast during our 2 nights here! The double room was super spacious and cozy. The staff were so friendly, especially our server, she was a gem! Breakfast was delish, but the dining area felt a bit too pub-like for my taste. Still, would totally come back for the food and nice vibes!

I enjoyed my stay at Lord Bagenal Inn. The staff greeted me warmly and were incredibly attentive throughout my visit. My double room was clean and comfortable, complete with a flat-screen TV and free toiletries. The breakfast selection was impressive, with delicious cooked options that set a positive tone for the day. I did face a couple of issues. The overwhelming scent of lilies at the entrance was quite unpleasant for me and other guests with allergies. the fire alarm went off around 1:30 AM, which caused quite a disturbance during the night. It would have been nice if the hotel had given some notice about this at breakfast the next day. Despite these inconveniences, the location by the river offered lovely walking paths and scenic views.
